Mobbed Bossed and Bullied Again: Travel and Leisure/Wyndham Destinations

Yet another experience of getting fired for the same thing the company was doing to me because of racism and discrimination. I was a marketer at Travel and Leisure/Wyndham and I was really excited for the position. They fired me for workplace violence and harassment which is a joke in itself, when they were harassing and I was just responding. Every single day they commented on my face, not smiling when it was inappropriate to be smiling, my body and my weight and called me boring. They made fun of me for being too nice and told me to be meaner, then, fired me for making a "mean" joke that was taken in the wrong way.

On 6/15 Nicole Villareal asked me if there was a bomb in my purse. Brandon Ramirez said, because she was Syrian, it was okay to make the joke. I had just witnessed the terrorist attack in Palm Springs so it was extra inappropriate and technically racist since the bomber was white. I told Nicole that I got in a car accident one day and everyday after that she asked me if I got in a car accident which was disturbing. She mentioned how she felt like fighting from the music and came towards me aggressively. Employees harassed me for being boring, not smiling when nobody else was smiling, white, Irish, too serious, too quiet, too nice and skinny. Brandon told me I would fall on my face if I got pregnant and commented on how he didn't like Irish women and how he didn't want red headed babies. He also sexually harassed me and commented on my body every day and what I was wearing, offered me the keys to his condo, asked me if I wanted him to get me a room, and told me to text him if I needed anything, to all of which I had no response. He said to text him as if he was a friend then he shared my texts with everybody. He grabbed my phone out of my hand to see what I was doing one night. He failed to mention his relationship status during all of this which is even grosser.

Brandon stated that he was going to hire more Mexicans and then hired two more Mexican employees at the frontline counter. Brandon stereotyped a white man with a SpaceX hat and called him a Nazi to which I said just because he's a fan of SpaceX doesn't mean he is a Nazi. Every day was a reminder that Brandon didn't like white people which was interesting because he said his mom was white. I was offered alcohol on the clock and cocaine by Javier who said he was micro-dosing shrooms. Isaac asked if I was Irish and blamed my success on the luck of the Irish. They were playing violent and sexual content on the television in the lobby including suicide scenes and MMA fighting, which I am not a fan of seeing blood splattered everywhere while I'm trying to market for Travel and Leisure. Brandon played old Japanese movies full of blood and nudity where they treat women like garbage. They serve alcohol every day from 4 to 7 PM and drink during. They were apparently offended that i didn't want to go out and drink with them even though I repeatedly told them that I had a concussion and was sick. They all mocked me and laughed in my face and then fired me for making jokes and texting when I was drunk from the alcohol the company gave to me at a dinner "celebrating our success." I told everybody I couldn't drink and they still offered me alcohol every day. The two managers vape every day inside the resort and Nicole offered me a hit of her vape in response to me telling her that an employee took my turn on the wheel instead of solving the problem. I texted her that she was discriminating against me on 7/8 and they fired me 7/11. Other employees made jokes and weren't fired. For example, Alexis said she was going to kill herself in front of me and everybody. Nobody sent cops to her house or cared at all. Javier insulted everybody saying he hated Dotsy's face, body, voice and that she had useless things to say.

They have a wheel that keeps certain employees who are top performers at the top, meaning it's their turn as long as they booked the guest before and continues to be their turn until they fail to book a guest, then it's the next person's turn. This meant, you had several employees standing around doing nothing all day making minimum wage and a few employees making all the money and it was not on the basis of my skill but that he did better the day before when I wasn't even here. That's why my comment about killing new hires was light hearted and in a mocking way towards their violence and inappropriateness and unfair gambling with my paycheck and not a threat to anybody. I also never harassed anybody. It was just a short span of drunk texts that I don't even remember typing and they all came after Javier offered me a drink at work which made me go home and drink because Brandon was too busy flirting with someone to address my concerns. I just sent a few intoxicated text messages in which never produced any animosity between Brandon and myself, according to the messages. Javier asked me when I first started if I ever said anything offensive because I never did. Then he told on me for the joke after asking me out drinking every day and offering me drinks at work. so it was like a setup to get rid of me because they had no other reason to. It's pathetic and disgusting. I was a good employee. Brandon, Josh and Nicole just want their dream team of Mexican/brown people with no diversity. Brandon actually called me the diversity of the group as if he was doing me some kind of favor in hiring me and then called me boring every day like a five year old.

I didn't have time to tell HR or even think about it yet as I had just started and then HR fired me for making a joke about two employees that I actually liked and helped train in any way that I could even though I was a new employee and shouldn't have had to train anybody. I was only there for a month. I just can't win either way with these companies despite exceeding performance goals. I was awarded "Rising Star" for exceeding top hurdle on the company commission plan in my first week. They all mentioned my dark sense of humor and sarcasm and pretended to like me for it then fired me like high schoolers.

There was no representation on my behalf by Human Resources besides a biased woman that asked me "do you think that was appropriate?" and would not listen to my side besides why didn't you tell HR? I was telling HR at this very moment but I wasn't being heard by HR because she is friends with Brandon and Nicole. I didn't have time to tell HR because I was just then telling management to back off via text message. I thought it was management then HR and I was following proper procedure? It doesn't matter because nobody took my side, again, because I'm white and because I don't want to be their friend even though we just met a few weeks ago. Now they're saying that I sent the text messages unprovoked which is disgusting considering the amount of complaints these people have against them. It's also character defamation, I would never send random text messages to people unprovoked. They were in direct response to events that happened at work.

The point is, once again, that they can say and do whatever they want and get away with it and I can't do or say anything back without getting fired. They don't want to take responsibility for their unprofessionalism and they want it to all be on me after provoking me. It must be nice to have this privelage of getting away with everything and not taking responsibility like children, I am not afforded this luxary. These companies keep firing a poor single woman for no reason which is disgusting to me. They just keep setting my life back and dragging me down after I chose to work for them and excelled in job performance.

At my current place of employment a coworker made a joke about "taking people out" and it's just laughed off by management. Should I tell HR and demand he be fired? Or is it okay for him and not me? They've also made me ineligible for rehire. What a joke. Keep those criminals and drug addicts and get rid of the good employees, you're doing great. What a low life company. This is character defamation. A Wyndham employee told me that the managers had everybody delete a group chat that had me in it saying how I would miss everybody from their phones. They did everything in their power to not allow me not have a voice or have my side heard.

On the guest's side, during their "happy hour" from 4 to 7 PM they coerced people into booking a timeshare sales preview with aclohol and did not make them sign the appropriate documentation. They had us draw a line for their signature so they didn't actually agree to the terms and conditions of the appointment. They were not allowed to drink at the sales presentation because it was considered unethical so why would the appointment setting be any different? I have a real estate license so I didn't appreciate the unethical and lazy tactics of the company.
